About Seniors Helping Seniors Central East Florida
My mother-in-law and father-in-law were truly blessed when Sue and Amy became their long-term companions from the SHS East Central FL office in the last year and a half. They both demonstrated incredible love, compassion, dedication and kindness for them. They gave my in-laws the gift of more time and independence living in their own home. God sent them to us and now they are part of our family. Recently my mother-in-law’s care level has increased beyond what Sue and Amy are able to provide so we are now working with SHS’s home health division to assist us with her medical needs. We would highly recommend Sue and Amy as senior helpers and companions.
My family has been working with SHS for a couple of months. Our experience has been outstanding. Emily was so helpful at our initial meeting. She arranged for the perfect care-giver (Heather) to provide in-home care service to my mother as she recovers from an injury. Heather is exceptional. She has been a wonderful help to my mother. I can't recommend SHS highly enough.
I chose Sr. Helping Sr. because they had a broader spectrum of services. Also they have flex regulations on the the hours required that I must have someone here. I really didn't need someone here 12-15 hours a week.I have someone that comes out once a week and takes care of my garden. Love my gardener Some months later we asked for someone to come once a week to walk with my husband , so that he can get some much needed exercise, So John comes once a week. They go for long walks and then relax here playing table games .This helps my husband thinking processes. Finally I requested additional help for house hold chores and help with preparing dinner. Cicela comes twice a week, and is doing a good job with the cooking and laundry.
I really enjoyed my time with Seniors Helping Seniors. The ladies they sent to care for me were wonderful, loving people. They responded to my request without question. I admire this the most because I was the person who calls the last minute. The only reason I left them was because of the cost.
I was very blessed to have two caregivers that cared for my husband for a short time. But I felt comfortable leaving with them here watching him and never worried when I was out because I knew my husband was in great hands.
