Brian and Matt Justine, originally from sunny Palm Beach Gardens, FL, are the cofounders of Pierogi Bros. As kids, we developed a love for pierogies after our grandmother, Helen (aka Grandma Justine), moved to Florida from New Castle, PA. She cooked many of the large family meals back then that typically included her amazing handmade pierogies. As we got older, we also appreciated the hard work that went into cooking those large meals from scratch with wholesome ingredients.
Just checked out the new Pierogi Bros location in downtown Sanford and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The pierogies are clearly made from scratch and have that perfect balance of a tender dough exterior with flavorful fillings. The potato and cheese pierogies were outstanding, and the toppings took them to another level. What really impressed me was that the food feels homemade without being heavy or greasy. You can tell they care about using quality ingredients. The portions were generous, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere fit right in with the laid-back vibe of downtown Sanford. If you're tired of the same burgers, pizza, and chain restaurants, this is a refreshing change of pace. Whether you've grown up eating pierogies or are trying them for the first time, Pierogi Bros is worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something unique and genuinely delicious in Sanford
We were looking forward to trying this restaurant as we love pierogies but honestly it wasn't that great and very good. I like my pierogies fried and crispy..these were not cooked enough to my taste. The cucumber salad wasn't impressive and I didn't like the sausage at all but my husband liked it. $48 for 8 pierogies 2 sausages cucumber salad is too much.
We went to Sanford for a night out and saw Pierogi Bros was open when we parked. We wanted to try it so we stopped in and split a Big Bro combo with 5 pierogis and a kielbasa. We tried the Potato and Cheddar, the Philly Cheesesteak, and the Proper Potato and it came with sauerkraut and diced onions. They were delicious! We will definitely be back. They also have frozen pierogis you can take home which we might get next time as well.
I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to try Pierogi Bros, and it surpassed every expectation I had. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, but the service and hospitality were top notch from start to finish. We tried every flavor of pierogi on the menu, and somehow each one was even better than the last. You can tell a lot of care and passion goes into everything they do. This is definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to, and I highly recommend giving it a try!
Stumbled into Pierogi Bros. in Sanford & was blown away. My wife is from Poland & I wanted to check them out & talk pierogi. Matt & his team ended up making me some cheesesteak & grandma pierogi w/sausage & onions. Everything was delicious, without that heavy after taste. They use all natural ingredients. They said, “if we can’t pronounce it, we don’t use it”. Only open Fri-Sun for now as they roll out slow. But def check out this wonderful addition to the Sanford Dining scene.
