Beautifully maintained historic building. From restaurant to apparel, they have everything you need for the ride and to satisfy for your hunger. Full bar complements the atmosphere for hanging out and enjoying friends. The food is fresh and done just right. The location in Historic Downtown Sanford is perfect. It is the perfect stop for a day excursion around the beautiful river town on Lake Monroe and the St. John’s River. Deb and Peter were friendly and added to the fun we experienced. Come check it out. You will not be disappointed.
This review is based after 2 visits approximately 1 month apart. I did this because the first visit had some bumps and I wanted to give it another try before I gave my opinion. At arrival, it is very confusing on where to enter IF this is your first time. Once you have been here once, no issue. What appears to be the front is the entrance to their store. Sometimes these doors are open and sometimes they are not. You can get to the restaurant through these doors if they are open. The actual restaurant entrance is at the rear of the building. Again, not an issue if you have been there previously. This is a rustic feel with a theme of motorcycles and cars. They have a bar area with high tops, regular dinning and what looks like a private room as well. There are also a few roped off tables outside. They have a stage as well for band performances. The menu has plenty of options as well as lunch specials and happy hour offerings. Happy hour looks like a great deal compared to other restaurants in the area. The regular menu items seem a bit high but that also seems to be generative of costs going up and the illusion that downtown Sanford can charge more. Happy hour pricing was good! The staff is very nice and welcoming. Both waitresses for each visit asked if we had been there previously and noted any specials. The food we ordered over the two visits were the Reuben sandwich, a burger, wings and sliders. For the burger, I asked for the special sauce to be put on the side. It came out with a side of sauce but also on the burger, they remade it with apologies. The remade burger was just OK. Plenty of food but not stellar. The Reuben was made correctly and was very good. On the second visit we had wings and the sliders. There was no option for dry rub wings so the waitress suggested getting them plain and just getting the sauce as a dipping option. She mentioned they would be crispier that way as well; what a wonderful suggestion. They came out dripping wet with the sauce. Again, they offered to remake them correctly and apologized. The 2nd set came out correctly, average tasting wings, a little greasy. The hot garlic sauce was OK. Not sure if this is a common issue in the kitchen or an issue from the waitresses, I'll let management figure that one out. But that is now 2 visits with the wrong order coming out. The sliders came out but without the pickles. Not a huge deal, maybe they don't have pickles but the waitress said they should come with them. Didn't have the menu to verify and it wasn't worth making this an issue. Otherwise the sliders were ok, a little dry. They have a store with specific merchandise for their theme. Typical stuff plus helmets and beard accessories. Overall an OK place. Would return for Happy hour and maybe the lunch deals. Not sure about regular meal times.
This place is a hidden gem. I’m originally from the UK, so was keen to try. I thought it would be a small cafe serving pots of tea and sausage sandwiches. It’s much bigger than that — it’s a destination with a full bar and live music. We stumbled in early on a Saturday with our dogs. They have a refreshing “yes we can” Bob the Builder attitude. The food was excellent — I had the poutine and my wife had the bangers and mash. We’ll be back!!
Very cool place! I'm calling it a upscale bar biker bar with a Triumph shop inside! Connor was our server was AWESOME! I had the Rev-It-Up & Go Smash Burger. Took my first buy it and said omg mother of God this is the best burger I've ever had! My husband had the classic burger and it was just as good. Coleslaw simple creamy and delicious. The fries are insane. They import them from Holland, crisp on outside and baked potatoey in the middle. I can't wait to go back and I tell everybody don't walk but run there right now!! PS took key lime pie home....they do things right there for sure perfect tang to sweet...not just sweet?
Great looking room. Really well done. However our dining experience was marred by super long wait. Something must have happened in the kitchen. But the worst part was not being informed and no manager came to touch the table. Would recommend a try though.
