About Tacos My Guey
On October 10, 2025 I had done a 1.5 hour nature walk with Freedom the Parrot, my pet Panama Amazon. We walk a different place daily, and happened to be at Center Lake Park. Starving out of my mind, we headed to The Food Factory, in Oviedo On the Park. I saw a new restaurant called Tacos My Guey, located at 888 City Walk Lane, Suite 1006. We entered tentatively, with Freedom in his Bird Pak. I had no clue what half the menu items were. We were greeted warmly by Ernesto, who was so nice! He explained various meals, pointing to the large sign on the wall. It turns out Ernesto hails from a family that has Macaws as pets! Freedom the Parrot liked him immediately! I ordered the Birria Quesadilla, with shredded beef, fried cheese, onions, cilantro, side of Birria broth, side of salsa, and a lime. It was out of this world! I literally closed my eyes to savor the food! Tacos My Guey has a passion for creating a meal that is memorable! I took pictures of my parrot with the cute donkey pinata. We also chatted with staff member Giuliana, who has a pet a Bearded Dragon, and a cat at home. We sat indoors, but there is a wonderful outside seating area with music. Freedom the Parrot had a blast. Guess what? We returned the next day to get a free taco! We talked with Jose, who was absolutely awesome! I got a Pork Carnitas Taco in a corn tortilla, with green salsa, and a tomato salsa. We took it to go, and got a nice bag with a handle. I took photos of Freedom the Parrot next to the Tacos My Guey bag, and palm trees. All I can say is the restaurant has a dynamic team devoted to creating the most incredible food, at an affordable price!
One of my favorite spots right now for a quick, tasty, and affordable meal. The service is excellent, and you can be sure they’re never stingy with the amount of meat in your portions. My absolute favorite is the birria tacos, perfectly seasoned, the cheese melted just right, and the portion size spot on. Totally worth it every time! Tip: Don’t forget to use your phone number to collect points and redeem rewards, you can actually earn free food pretty fast, lol.
5 star for this location that just opened up like 2 weeks ago. My neighbor told me about this location and my dad and I went there 08/24/25 around 5pm, order the carnitas bowl with a Pepsi and the food was delicious. We ordered 6 tacos deal, 3 chicken and 3 carnitas for the rest of the family and they liked both, but the carnitas were better :grin:...A young lady Juliana helped my dad and I and with the rest of the order. Today 08/29/25 I went back around 9:30pm. The atmosphere was nice, fan blowing nice air, people sitting outside having a good time, music playing for those sitting inside, but you can still hear the music from the other location ( didn't bothered me). I ordered again the carnitas bowl, chips and dip and a Pepsi. Gabriel and Jose assisted me this time, very cool employees. If you are reading this, head down to Tacos My Guey, enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Update: I went back on 9/27/25 and placed an order at 9:50pm. The place was packed, great music, the outside tables and seats were full, great atmosphere and again great food, friendly and attentive staff.
I ordered a carnitas burrito and liked it! The meat was moist, and the tortilla was toasted on the outside, giving it a nice crisp texture. My daughter got the steak cheese quesadilla, and she enjoyed it — good portion and nicely cooked. It’s a great spot for a quick grab-and-go meal when you’re in the mood for Mexican.
I am SO happy this opened in Oviedo. We've been here too many times to count already. The guac is delicious. The chicken nachos are just right and the BIRRIA QUESADILLA is the best thing ever. Service is phenomenal, quick and friendly. We'll continue being frequent customers.
